I finished 11th and got my 2nd competitive hole in one at the 2020 FCG Callaway World Championship.

I had a great time learning how to play in Southern California! I’ve never had so much spin on my wedges and short irons in my life, so I’m glad for the opportunity to work on some new shots that will come in handy down the road. Thanks FCG!

I Won The Utah State Jr. Stroke Play Tournament! 72-73 (-1)

I will always remember my grandparents coming to see me play! It’s the end of June and we were playing in the 40’s and 50’s. My grandparents live in Texas, so it was a bit of shock to them to say the least! It was business as usual for me and the other juniors who have grown up these conditions.

I’m Honored To Be The Zion’s Bank Utah Player of The Week.

I love that Utah cares about junior golf. Thanks Zions Bank for your support and Fairways Media for the awesome picture of my first tee shot in the Utah Junior Amateur Match Play final!

I Finished 7th In The UJGA Utah Jr. Open.

I haven’t had to play through an injury until today. Two days before the tournament started, a piece of fiberglass from a water slide the size of a nickel somehow broke off and went straight through my nail bed to the root under the nail of my big toe. I’m going to lose the toenail, but I refuse to quit or WD. I wore some different shoes so that the bandage could fit and I had my worst round of the year in the first round. The next day wasn’t much better, I just couldn’t get it started. But I am so proud of myself for finishing strong and making birdie on 4 of the last 6 holes. My parents were so proud of me for battling to the end that I got to go to my favorite restaurant and celebrate afterwards!

My First Hole in One!!!

I made my first hole in one today during the first round of The Optimist qualifier at Glen Eagle! On hole #13, the wind was in my face and left to right. I pured my 8 iron 137 yards and drew it in. One hop and it tracked in as if I putted it! I’ve been so close many times before and I am so happy that I did it in a competitive round. There’s nothing like writing a 1 on your scorecard!

I Won The UJGA Junior Amateur Matchplay Tournament!!!

What an amazing week. Each match I played was hard fought and each of my competitors played great golf. My final match with Austin was incredible and it took everything I had to hang with him. I was down the entire match until I was able to finally take the lead on 16 and close it out on 18 with a 1up victory. Hats off to Austin, what a great competitor.

I Won The UJGA Utah Junior Amateur Qualifier (72), Securing The #1 Seed For Matchplay!

After getting bounced out of the same tournament last year in the first round of match play, I was determined to do whatever it took to start this year’s tournament strong. It was a cold and windy day out there, but I gritted out a great finish on 18 lock up the top seed going into match play.

I Finished Strong And Won The USKIDS Local Tour Season! See You In Pinehurst! 80-72-73-69-70-72-68-69

Thanks to our incredible local tour director, we were able to play a full schedule this spring despite the COVID-19 pandemic. It was nice to see grass again and play with my friends again on the Salt Lake local tour, the best USKIDS local tour in the world!

My First UJGA Win of 2020! A Breakthrough Achievement For Me. 69-68 (-7)

This is my third year playing golf, and I have never broken par before in a tournament. I have worked so hard to catch up to the amazing talent here in Utah and part of that process has been learning how to score. I’ve shot 72 plenty of times in tournaments, several times I’ve lipped out on the 18th only to come up short. The drought has ended, I finally broke par and shot a 69 on the first day of competition in the UJGA Fairways Magazine Preview! My new record only lasted 24 hours as I shot a 68 in the final round and won the tournament! I don’t think I’ll ever be the same again.

Follow my journey.
